Abstract

ABSTRACT
Deaf children's language development is closely related to the ability to hear. Inability hearing impaired deaf children resulted in the development of language. limited language development have an impact on the social, emotional and intellectual. The lack of mastery of the language to make deaf children can not to communicate well in social situations. consequently self adjustment of deaf children become obstructed. That situation resulted in limitation social interaction and exchanged of information or various other forms of communication. So that his social interaction only limited with peoples nearby.
Therefore This study aims to (1) describe the attraction interacts deaf children to others in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya (2) describe the self-confidence of the deaf children in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya (3) describe confidence in the people others deaf children in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya (4) describe the constraints experienced deaf children in performing self-disclosure (5) describe the solution of the constraints faced in conducting self-disclosure deaf children in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya.
This research was descriptive qualitative research subjects were deaf children in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya, and classroom teachers. The data collection techniques used observation, interview and documentation. While the data analysis qualitative descriptive study using data reduction stage, presentation of data, and draw conclusions.
The results of this study concluded (1) Self-disclosure of deaf children in SMPLB-B Karya Mulia Surabaya was still low (2) Obstacles faced by deaf children in self-disclosure related to barriers to communication, less of confidence, closeness of the relationship between students and teachers (3) the solution given the constraints faced by the increasing communication, improving self-confidence, improve proximity and improve the comfort of a relationship in order to improve the attitude of self-disclosure by deaf children.
