Abstract

ABSTRACT
Based on the result of observasion and interview, there were some perception differences from the school member in SDN Gerantung Praya Tengahtoward social interaction of hearing impairment.
The location of this research was in SDN Gerantung Praya Tengah. The subject numbered 15 people which consisted of 1 headmaster, 1 special assistant teacher, 6 regular teachers, 1 staff administration, 2 school officers, and 4 regular students.
This research used qualitative approach whit descriptive kind. The data collectin method used observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis used qualitative descriptive.
Based on te result of resercah and the data validation test obtained it was known that the perception among the school members was different. The resercah result obtained through interview, observation, and documentation indicated that the resut was almost same about the perception of school members toward social interaction of hearing impairment student. The conclusion of the research result was that the school members in SDN gerantung Praya Tengah could not accept the existence of hearing impairment students yet even a part of the school members in SDN Gerantung Praya Tengah had knowledge special need teacher especially hearing impairment students did not understand yet, this could make any different perceptions from each school members about social interaction of hearing impairment studens.
