PENERAPAN METODE SIMULASI TERHADAP KECAKAPAN PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA PADA KEDARURATAN ( P3K ) PADA SISWA TUNAGRAHITA DI SLB/C

Abstract

ABSTRACT Anyone should ever get injured so that it was necessary to give first aid skill. The students of mentally retardation had intelligence under average and tended enable thinking abstractly so a simulation method was suitable to be used for learning first aid skill to mentally retardation students. The purpose of this research was to know whether there was influence of simulation method application toward first aid skill to mentally retardation students in SLB/C Taman Pendidikan dan Asuhan Jember or not. The research method used was quantitative with pre-experiment arrangement and one group pretest-posttest design. The data was collected by test and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used was statistic non parametric with n = 7 and α = 5% and it was analyzed by Wilcoxon Match Pairs test (Sugiyono, 2013:136). The research result indicated that the average score of pretest was 64,49 and 93,70 for posttest. The result of data analysis using formula indicated that Zh value was 2,36 and Z table 5% was 1,96 so the interpretation was Zh > Zt so it could be concluded that Ha was accepted it meant that there was influence of simulation method usage toward first aid first aid skill to mentally retardation students in SLB/C Taman Pendidikan dan Asuhan Jember.
