Abstract

ABSTRACT Developing cognitive was aimed so that the early age children in receiving learning could be easier to understand the learning given. The learning used in recognizing animal concept was by quantum learning. Quantum learning was learning which facilitated the children in receiving learning material. The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of quantum learning toward the ability of recognizing animal concept to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo. The method of this research was quantitative and the data collected by participant observation and documentation. The participant observation was used to obtain the data of the ability of recognizing animal concept to autism children before and after giving treatment while the documentation technique was become a supported data or proof that the research was really done. The research result indicated that in the early observation / pretest the data obtained was 41,13 and after giving treatment the last observation / posttest the data obtained was between 77,8 so that Zh = 2,52 it was greater than critic value 5% Zt = +1,96 which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. It could be stated that there was influence of quantum learning toward the ability of recognizing animal concept to autism children in TK Mentari School Sidoarjo Keywords: Autism children, quantum learning, recognizing animal concept
