Abstract

ABSTRACT
Mentally retarded children in PAUD inclusion Pondok Harmoni East Lombok could not draw and color well yet. When the children were instructed to color they could only scratch irregularly. The children required directing so that they could train their fine motoric by either drawing or coloring as the teaching material.
The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of doodling technique usage toward fine motoric ability to mid mentally retarded children in PAUD inclusion Pondok Harmoni East Lombok. This research used quantitative approach and pre experiment kind with one group pretest and posttest design.The data was collected by participant’s observation and documentation. The participant’s observation was used to gain the data of fine motoric ability to mid mentally retarded children before and after giving treatment. The data analysis technique used was Wilcoxon Match Pairs test.
The research result indicated that the pretest data was 45,80 and the posttest data was 76,35. Being analyzed by Wilcoxon Match Pairs test it was obtained counting number Zh = 2,20 compared to critic value 5% Zt = +1,96 which meant that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. It could be concluded that there was influence of doodling technique usage toward fine motoric ability to mid mentally retardation children in PAUD inclusion Pondok Harmoni East Lombok.
