PENGGUNAAN METODE FONIK PADA PENGEMBANGAN LITERASISISWA TK AUTIS

Abstract

Abstract
An autism carrier had difficulty in communicating because they had disturbance in their language
development. This dealt with autism students’ literacy. The research purpose was to know the usage of
phonic method to literacy developing to the autism students of kindergarten in TK Puri Mutiara Bunda
Sidoarjo. The research was focused to pre reading and pre writing abilities of autism students of
kindergarten using phonic method.
This research used quantitative approach with one group pre test-post test design arrangement. The data
collection techniques were observation, test, and documentation. The data analysis technique used helper
table of statistic analysis, Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test.
The research result indicated that literacy developing of autism students of kindergarten had
significant enhancement after giving treatment by phonic method. The result of data analysis with
significant level 5% indicated that T counted > T table so that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted.
