Abstract

This study took place in SLB Yasmin Sumenep location, with all the research subjects retarded children were grade 1 which amounts to 3 students. The design of classroom action research conducted in six sessions in two cycles with the allocation of 35 minutes each meeting. Methods of data collection using observation and tests. While the research is the observation instrument, tutoring and student worksheet, the data obtained were analyzed by descriptive and qualitative descriptive. The results showed that students' willingness and activity of the average value reached 52% at the first meeting of the cycle 1 and 2 cycles 1 meeting, at the meeting of 3 cycles 1 reached 67%, and continued in the fourth meeting of the second cycle reaches 86%, while in the fifth meeting of the second cycle reaches 87%, and at a meeting 6 second cycle students' average score was 90% for actions carried out teaching of writing beginning with picture cards.
