MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LANGSUNG TERHADAP KOSA KATAANAK TUNAGRAHITA RINGAN DI PENDIDIKAN KHUSUS
Mild mentally retardation child was an individual who had under average intellectual
ability. The disability caused the mild mentally retardation children had cognitive disorder i.e.
disorder in mastering vocabulary of recognizing colors. Mastering vocabulary of recognizing
colors ability of mild mentally retardation children in Seduri State Special Education
MojosariMojokerto was classified low.
This research had purpose to describe and analyze the influence of direct learning model
toward the vocabulary of mild mentally retardation children in the first class of elementary
school in Seduri State Special Education MojosariMojokerto. This research used “preexperiment”
kind with the arrangement “one group pretest posttest design”. The data collection
method used test method and the technique of data analysis used statistic non parametric with
From the pretest result the children’s average value was 44,345 and then they were given
treatment, 5 times. The children were then given posttest and the average value was 79,163. The
average value of pretest and posttest indicated that the value change happened it was better and
the level of recognizing colors ability enhanced. Based on the value, it was then analyzed by sign
test formula ZH with Z table 5% two sides test 1,96. ZH value obtained in counting was ZH = 2,04>
Z table 5% 1,96. It proved that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so that it could be concluded
that direct learning had significant influence toward recognizing colors ability of the first class
mild mentally retardation children in Seduri State Special Education MojosariMojokerto.
