Formulation of the problem in this research is how to upgrade the skills of mild mental retardation in children Polytechnic class X in SMALB works of Compassion Surabaya via the method of life skill education. This research was aimed to let children light mental retardation could increase the ability of the Polytechnic though its ability was limited. This research uses a type of class action research design the research model Mc Taggart (in Arikunto, 2008:74). Method of data collection in this research is the observation and documentation. Data analysis in this study was done for the application of the method of life skill education in enhancing the skills of child mental retardation Polytechnic. The analysis of the data used in this study is the analysis of the reflection based on cycle-cycle. Based on the results of the research on the influence of method of educational life skill against skill Polytechnic students, indicating that mild mental retardation:Penerapan life skill education methods could be applied to students of mild mental retardation in order increase, the level of ability to make vokacional skills in making banana variety of flavors.
