Abstract

Abstract: The fact that there are children with hearing impairment have difficulties such as having limitations in the ability to hear, yet it also has the potential of deaf children need to be optimized, one of them is the ability to hear. To improve listening skills can be done in various ways, including the method to play a role. Impaired hearing deaf children are often regarded as obstacles in the development of listening, but with the help of treatment that can be done early, then chances are it can be minimized. Through role-play can be used to improve hearing children with hearing impairment. The research into the subject is impaired children with hearing impairment in aspects of articulation, intonation and rhythm in harmony SDLB Gedangan Sidoarjo. Overall sample taken graders totaling V 6 students. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether there is any effect of playing a role in enhancing the ability of deaf children to hear the class V in SDLB Harmoni Gedangan Sidoarjo. Research using design or classroom action research design using two cycles. Technical analysis of the data using descriptive statistical analysis techniques qualitative scoring formula. The analysis showed a positive improvement to the ability of children with hearing impairment to hear through role play. This is indicated by the positive and significant improvement in listening proficiency in aspects of articulation, intonation and rhythm through playing the role of class V SDLB Harmony Gedangan Sidoarjo.
