Abstract

Education carried out with the aim of improving the quality of human life, so that its existence has become a necessity, in the learning process in the classroom the teacher is still dominated by the lecture method in teaching count numbers 1-10 so that the child is still not able to understand the material provided by the teacher. In this research activity is an activity that will be provided through the medium of a puzzle game. This activity was chosen because other than beneficial to train the results count, can also be a children's play facilities for mental retarded. Media used more effectively games for learning activities mental retarded in children. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning outcomes through the application of mathematical puzzle game media mild mental retardation in children in a class I land fill Jember SLB-C. This research is a class action, because the research done to fix the problem of learning in the classroom. This study also includes descriptive research, be reached for describing how learning is applied and how the desired results can. There research procedures performed by recycling cycles where each cycle performed during 2 meetings of planning, implementation, observation, reflection and revision. for facilitate the observation data the researcher used the method in the observation of researchers menyatat any change ability of their students. Based on the analysis of the activities and children's learning outcomes, assessment of the count numbers 1-10 in the first cycle 1 meeting as much as 52%, meeting 2 by 56%, and the first meeting of the second cycle as much as 66.25%, 74.75% as many meetings 2. And the results of children's learning, assessment of learning outcomes prove the first cycle 1 meeting as much as 47.5%, meeting 2 as much as 51.25%, and the first meeting of the second cycle as much as 61.25%, 68.75% as many meetings 2.
