PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SAINS SISWA TUNANETRA

ABSTRAK

Ketunanetraan mengakibatkan terhambatnya perkembangan seseorang terutama pada indera pengelihatan. Seseorang yang mengalami ketunanetraan cenderung mengandalkan indra pendengaran dan perabaan. Tentunya hal tersebut akan mempengaruhi pula terhadap perkembangan belajar seorang tunanetra.

Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis pre experintemt dengan desain penelitian pre-test and post-test satu kelompok (one group pretest-posttest design). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 7 SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya yang berjumlah 6 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Teknik Tes, Teknik Observasi dan Dokumentasi. Instrument penelitian yang sesuai untuk digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari Soal pretest dan posttest. Data hasil pretest dan posttest kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis data statistik non parametrik dengan data kuantitatif dan jumlah sampel penelitiannya kurang dari 30 yaitu n = 6. Data hasil Pretest dan Posttest kemudian di analisis dengan menggunakan statistik non parametik yaitu rumus Wilcoxon Two Sample Test uji satu sisi.

Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan hasil nilai rata-rata pretest 40,6 dan nilai rata-rata postest 95,3. Sedangkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa dengan nilai kritis  = 5%  = 0,05 > U tabel= 0,021 ( > Ut) sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya ada pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains pada siswa tunanetra.

ABSTRACT

The Blindness made development of the human especially the sense of vision hindered. Someone who is experiencing blindness tend to rely on the sense of hearing an the sense of touch. Surely, that things will be influenced toward learning developments the blind children.

This research method used the approach kind of quantitative research with pre experiment kind and the research design of one group pretest – posttest design. The sample in this research was the students of class 7 in SMPLB-A YPAB Surabaya numbering 6 people. The technique of data collection in this research applied the tests of technique, observation, and documentation. The suitable research instrument to be used in this research consisted of pretest and posttest exercises. The result data of pretest and posttest was then analyzed by using the analysis of statistic non parametric data with quantitative data and the amount of research sample was less than 30 i.e. n = 6. The data of pretest and posttest was then analyzed by using statistic non parametric i.e. the formula of Wilcoxon two samples test of one side test.

The research result indicated that the result of pretest average value was 40,6 and posttest average value was 95,3. The result of data analysis indicated that the critic value was α = 5% α = 0,05 > U table = 0,021 (α > Ut) so Ho was refused and Ha was accepted. So, it could be concluded that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted, it meant that there was influence of inquiry learning model toward the enhancement of science literacy ability to blind students.
