Abstract

The deaf’ difficulty to listen causes the low development of their language skill, social emotional skill, and another knowledge field.The purpose of this research is to improve the mathematics study result on time and angle measurement through improving thinking skill learning strategy. This research uses a classroom action research design (CAR) through two cycles. Each cycle consists of three meeting and the steps done are planning, action, observation/evaluation and reflection. The data collecting techniques used certain technique used are observation,interview, and test. The data analysis uses certain technique to analyze the observation result and to get the percentage of the scores of time and angle measurement of the deaf student who become the subject of the research. The result of the research shows that there is an improvement of mathematics learning strategy on time and angle measurement. The improvement is 34.6% it is 53.3% and it becomes 87.9% the average score is 92. Keywords : learning strategy to improve thinking skill, deaf student.
