PENANGANAN KEMAMPUAN INTERAKSI SOSIAL ANAK AUTIS
Abstract
Abstract: Autistic children gets three troubles, there are social interaction skill, behavior, and communication. The examples of their problem in social interaction are the impulsive of environment, lack of developing friendship skill, and low passion in the social contact.
This reseach aims to find out the way to solve the autistic children’s interaction skill at harapan bunda inclusive school surabaya. These are in the form of school policy, learning process, problem faced by the school, solution given and support system given to the autistic children.
The reseach method used is descriptive qualitative reseach. The subjects of this reseach are principle, adminisrative staffs, office boy, and autistic children’s parents. This reseach is conducted at harapan bunda inclusive school surabaya. The data collecting method.
The results of this reseach are as follow: (1) the policy of the school is given by modifying the appropriate curriculum for the autistic children, the use if curriculum runs well which is completed by verbal and non verbal skill. (2) Activities are in the form of group activities (praying, gyms, and learning), the roles have been applied in the teaching and learning process and it runs well. (3) The problems faced by the schools are to find the similiar prior skill of autistic children and the autistic’s children obedient. (4) Solution given to the school is through various learning activities and behavior therapy given by the teacher. (5) Support system is given to the principle is in the form of social interaction (dancing, skill, and therapy). Support system from the teacher is through providing the model. From the administrative staff, the support is through socialization through private approach. Providing the facilities to learn such a tape, digital versatile disc player, and cleaning the classsroom are support given by office boy. The parents can support it by giving moral for the school, giving the toys at home, and giving the comfortable situation for the autistic children through allowing children to play at home.
