Abstract

Abstract
The hindrance of mentally retardation children in mathematic was they were difficult in understanding the thing forms. Mentally retardation children were difficult in mentioning the thing form. Introducing flat form was a part of cognitive skill. Introducing flat form should be mastered by mentally retardation students. The purpose of this research were to observe and analyze whether there was the influence of cutting and sticking skill to mild mentally retardation students in the fourth class toward introducing flat form in SLB Bhakti Pemuda Pagu Kediri or not.
This research used quantitative approach and pre experiment research with “the one group pre test post test” design is an experiment which was done to one control group or comparer. The subject was the fourth class of mentally retardation students in SLB Bhakti Pemuda Pagu Kediri those were 6 mentally retardation students. To analyze the data it was used sign test formula.
From the data analysis, it was obtained the counting result of critic value 5% for one side testing (1,64) it was a real that Z value obtained in counting (Zh=2,05) was greater than critic value Z 5% one side (1,64) so that null hypothesis (Ho) was refused and work hypothesis (Ha) aws accepted (Zh > Z table). The result of this research was that there was significant influence of cutting and sticking skill toward introducing flat form to mild retardation students in SLB Bhakti Pemuda Pagu Kediri.
The school should appy an interactive learning technique which could be applied during learning process so that it could enhance the mild retardation students spirit and motivation learning.
