METODE AUDIOLINGUAL TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENYIMAK PADA SISWA TUNARUNGU
Abstract
Abstract; People’s communicative skill was affected by their language skills. Deafness make children’s language skill was difficult to be developed. Their low language skill affects their communicative skill. It is shown by the listening skill of deaf students at fifth grade of Karya Mulia I inclusive primary school B Surabaya. They have difficulties in understanding the communication made by their teachers and friends. Based on this background, this research applies the audio lingual method to find out the effect of audiolingual method for the deaf children’s listening skill at fifth grade of Karya Mulia I inclusive primary school B Surabaya.
This research was a pre experiment quantitative research by using one group pre test post test design. Test and documentation are used as the data collecting method. Test is used to collect the data of listening skill before and after the deaf students are given the action. Documentation is used to collect the ident name, gender, date of birth, address and auditory data. The data analysis techniques are non parametric analysis and sign test.
The result showed that there was enhancement score of listening skill. The pretest was 29,6 became 86,9 in the posttest. Z table 5% in two sides testing was 1.96. Zh value obtained was 2.05.
The conclusion of this research was that there was a significant effect of audiolingual method for the deaf students’ listening skill at fifth grade of Karya Mulia I inclusive primary school Surabaya.
