METODE KARYAWISATA TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KARANGAN DESKRIPSI PADA SISWA TUNARUNGU KELAS VII

Based on the pre tes conducted at Dharma Wanita Special Needs Junior High School Sidoarjo, the seveth grade students get difficulties in describing the pictures into descriptive test. The interesting and understandable method is used to improve their descriptive writing skill. One of methods is study tour.
This research aims to find out the effect of study tour method for the descriptive writing skill. The approach used is quantitative approarch. There are 8 students of seventh grade of Dharma Wanita Special Needs Junior High School Sidoarjo become the subjects of this research. This research uses pre experiment research by using pe test – post tes design. Non parametic statistic analysis is used to analyze the data. Post tes is given after the subjects were given study tour treatment in six meeting.
The result of the pre tes is still low. The subjects are given intervention in six meetings. Each meeting consists of 90 minutes. The children’s scores are better in the post tes then in the pre test. The score is analyzed by using sign test (ZH), Ztable 5%, and two sides test of 1,96. Z score from the data precess is ZH = 2,47. Therefore, it can be concluded that “There is a significant effect of study tour method for the descriptive writing skill of seventh grade students at Dharma Wanita Special Needs Junior High School Sidoarjo”, the score of ZH=2,47 >Z table of 5%
The conclusion of the research is that there is an improvement of descriptive writing skill after the student are given study tour method. Before the study tour is applied, the score of pre tes is not satisfying. After the students are given study tour method, their score are satisfying.
