Fine motor skills is child's ability to perform a movement involving a particular body part. The one example of activities is eye coordination and fingers - hand finger. Moderate mental retardation child is experiencing obstacles coordination of motor activity shown in the response patterns of motion and muscle with lower and less variable. It can be influential in the development of fine motor skills the ability to care for themselves especially to wear buttoned.

The purpose of this research is to improve students' fine motor skills are moderate mental retardation in SLB-AC Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. Characteristics of the subjects in this study were moderate Intelectual disability students being in SLB-AC Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. Research design pre-experimental with pretest-posttest design research. Subjects numbered 6 people who were given pre-test and post test. Post test was given after the subjects were given treatment in the form of learning PMDS (Caring for Yourself Program) conducted during 6 meetings with a time of 60 minutes each meeting.

Based on the result is the average value of pre test 44.91 and post test 62,08 while for ZH analysis of data obtained from the value of pre test and post test was 2.05. Then tested with the sign test is a nonparametric technique to the critical value α = 5%. Then the conclusion in this study is the PMDS (Caring for Yourself Program) effect on fine motor moderate mental retardation students are in SLB-AC Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.
