PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN MISSOURI MATHEMATIC PROJECT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN OPERASI HITUNG BAGI PESERTA DIDIK DISABILITAS RUNGU

Matematika adalah mata pelajaran yang selalu dipelajari sejak usia dini hingga jenjang pendidikan tinggi. Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sulit dipahami oleh peserta didik disabilitas rungu terutama dalam kemampuan operasi hitung. Kemampuan operasi hitung memerlukan kemampuan membaca, berfikir abstrak dan logika diperlukan dalam mengerjakan soal operasi hitung yang disajikan dalam bentuk soal cerita. Pera guru juga mempengaruhi kemampuan matematika peserta didik, maka diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang dapat memahami kebutuhan peserta didik dan memberikan kesempatan pada peserta didik untuk mengembangkan kemampuan matematikanya pada kemampuan operasi hitung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh penggunaan metode pembelajaran Missouri Mathematic Project terhadap kemampuan operasi hitung bagi peserta didik disbilitas rungu di SDLB B Karya Mulia Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis pra-eksperimental desain one-group pre-test post-test. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus Wilcoxon Match Pair Test. Dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 dan diperoleh Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) yang bernilai 0,011. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penerapan metode pembelajaran Missouri Mathematic Project terhadap kemampuan operasi hitung bagi peserta didik disabilitas rungu di SDLB B Karya Mulia Surabaya. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini yaitu metode pembelajaran Missouri Mathematic Project dapat mengabungkan latihan – latihan secara terkontrol maupun secara mandiri agar peserta didik disabilitas rungu dapat terlatih terampil pada kemampuan operasi hitung dan selajutnya peserta didik disabilitas rngu juga dapat melatih keterampilan untuk memecahkan masalah dan berkomunikasi.

Mathematics is a subject that is always studied from an early age to higher education. Mathematics is a subject that is difficult for students with hearing disabilities to understand, especially in the ability of arithmetic operations. Arithmetic operation skills require reading skills, abstract thinking and logic are needed in working on arithmetic operation problems presented in the form of story problems. The role of the teacher also affects the math skills of students, so a learning method is needed that can understand the needs of students and provide opportunities for students to develop their math skills in the ability of arithmetic operations. This study aims to prove the effect of using the Missouri Mathematic Project learning method on the ability of arithmetic operations for students with hearing disabilities at SDLB B Karya Mulia Surabaya. This research uses a quantitative approach of pre-experimental type one-group pre-test post-test design . Data were collected through written tests and then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Match Pair Test formula. With a significant level of 0.05 and obtained Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) which is 0.011. This shows that there is a significant effect of the application of the Missouri Mathematic Project learning method on the ability of counting operations for students with hearing disabilities at SDLB B Karya Mulia Surabaya. The implication of the results of this study is that the Missouri Mathematic Project learning method can combine controlled and independent exercises so that students with hearing disabilities can be skillfully trained in arithmetic operation skills and then students with hearing disabilities can also train skills to solve problems and communicate.
