Penerapan Metode Gillingham Bermedia Digital Card terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Permulaan pada Peserta Didik Tunagrahita di SLB Purna Yuda Bhakti

Kemampuan menulis penting untuk dipelajari oleh setiap peserta didik. Peserta didik tunagrahita memiliki hambatan dalam kemampuan menulis permulaan, seperti kesulitan menulis huruf, oleh karena itu, perlu adanya metode dan media yang menarik dan memudahkan belajar, sehingga hasil belajar kemampuan menulis permulaan peserta didik tunagrahita meningkat. Metode gillingham bermedia digital card memiliki manfaat dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik, meningkatkan ketertarikan peserta didik pada kegiatan pembelajaran, mempermudah dalam penyampaian materi pembelajaran, serta dapat mengajak peserta didik secara aktif berpatisipasi langsung dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk membuktikan perbedaan kemampuan menulis permulaan pada peserta didik tunagrahita sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya metode gillingham bermedia digital card. Subjek dalam penelitian ini peserta didik tunagrahita di SLB Purna Yuda Bhakti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan tes instrumen penelitian dengan tes tertulis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Dengan pengujian wilcoxon diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,026 < 0,05. Hal ini berarti ada perbedaan kemampuan menulis permulaan peserta didik tunagrahita sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode gillingham bermedia digital card. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah metode gillingham bermedia digital card mampu meningkatkan ketertarikan peserta didik dan peserta didik lebih aktif dalam pembelajaran, memudahkan peserta didik tunagrahita belajar menulis permulaan, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, memberikan pengalaman belajar secara langsung, dan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis permulaan.

Abstract
The writing skill is really significant skill to be learned by each students. Any student with intellectual disabilities has barrier in early writing skill, such as difficult to write a letter and recognize the letter shape which is related to the student’s motor skill. Therefore, there is a need attractive and creative method and media to improve learning outcome of early writing skill in student with intellectual disability. The gillingham method with digital card media has several benefits, including increasing student motivation to learn, enhancing their interest in learning activities, facilitating the delivery of learning materials, and encouraging students to actively participate directly in learning activities. The aimed of this study was to analysis the influence of gillingham method with digital card media towards early writing skill of student with intellectual disability. The subject used in this study were 6 students with mild level of intellectual disability at SLB Purna Yuda Bhakti . This research used quantitative approach of pra-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The technique of collecting data in this study used written test. The Technique of analyzing data used wilcoxon test. By wilcoxon test was obtained Asymp score. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,026 < 0,05. The implication of this research is that the implementation of the gillingham method using digital card media can make students more interested and active in participating in the learning activities. The gillingham method with digital card media can be used as an approach in the learning activities of early writing skill for students with intellectual disabilities, wich can enhance learning motivation, provide direct learning experiences, and improve the early writing skill of students with intellectual disabilities.
