THE THE EFFECT OF BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION OF SELF-MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES TO REDUCE VERBAL AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR OF HARD OF HEARING STUDENTS

Abstract

Perilaku adaptif memiliki manfaat meningkatkan kemampuan berkehidupan sosial yang baik sehingga, dapat diterima oleh masyarakat. Siswa tunarungu dikenal memiliki sikap bengis dan agresif karena keterbatasan mereka dalam memahami percakapan lingkungan sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, perilaku agresif pada siswa tunarungu perlu intervensi modifikasi perilaku untuk merubah perilaku agresif menjadi perilaku adaptif. Tujuan peneltian ini adalah untuk membuktikan adanya pengaruh modifikasi perilaku teknik self-management dalam mengurangi perilaku agresif verbal pada siswa tunarungu hard of hearing. Pendekatan penelitian meggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B. Subjek peneltian adalah siswa disabilitas tunarungu hard of hearing dengan usia 18 tahun. Pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi. Analisis data melalui analisis visual dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi. Hasil analisis data dalam kondisi menunjukkan persentase stabilitas 80%, garis kecenderungan arah dan estimasi jejak data menunjukkan  hasil yang sama yaitu, meningkat. Hasil analisis visual antar kondisi menunjukkan kecenderungan data sifatnya stabil dengan presentase 80%, kecenderungan arah yang stabil (meningkat) dengan garis sebagai visual, dengan rentang pada fase baseline = 3 dan fase intervensi = 3,76, level perubahan juga diberikan tanda (+) yang artinya membaik. Presentase overlap sebesar 0%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa, modifikasi perilaku teknik self-management memberikan pengaruh berupa munurunnya perilaku agresif verbal pada peserta didik tunarungu. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah modifikasi perilaku teknik self-management memberikan pengaruh berupa perubahan perilaku agresif verbal menjadi perilaku adaptif, meningkatkan kemampuan berkehidupan sosial yang baik secara signifikan.

Abstract

 Adaptive behavior has the benefit of enhancing social living skills, making individuals more acceptable to society. Deaf students are known to exhibit aggressive and violent behavior due to their limited understanding of environmental conversations. Therefore, aggressive behavior in deaf students requires behavioral modification interventions to transform aggressive behavior into adaptive behavior. The purpose of this study is to prove the influence of self-management behavioral modification techniques in reducing verbal aggressive behavior in hard of hearing deaf students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a Single Subject Research (SSR) design A-B. The research subject is a hard of hearing deaf student with an age of 18 years. Data collection is done through observation techniques. Data analysis is done through visual analysis in conditions and between conditions. The results of the data analysis in the condition show a stability percentage of 80%, the trend line direction and data trace estimation show the same results, namely increasing. The results of the visual analysis between conditions show a stable data trend with a percentage of 80%, a stable trend direction (increasing) with a line as a visual, with a range in the baseline phase = 3 and the intervention phase = 3.76, the level of change is also given a sign (+) which means improving. The percentage of overlap is 0%. The results show that self-management behavioral modification techniques have an effect on reducing verbal aggressive behavior in deaf students. The implication of this study is that self-management behavioral modification techniques have an effect on changing verbal aggressive behavior into adaptive behavior, significantly improving social living skills.
