Kemampuan berhitung bermanfaat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang penting digunakan oleh peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan untuk mendukung kemandirian hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh penerapan media pohon angka untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung bagi peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan adalah media pohon angka, media pohon angka dipilih karena bersifat konkret, menarik, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik belajar peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini yakni kuantitatif, jenis pre-eksperimental, dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design, instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu modul ajar, kisi-kisi instrumen penelitian, lembar pretest dan posttest. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 6 peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni menggunakan tes tulis dan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penerapan media pohon angka terhadap kemampuan berhitung peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan berdasarkan hasil asymp. Sig (0,024) < 0,05. Menurut hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan media pohon angka terhadap kemampuan berhitung peserta didik disabilitas intelektual ringan.

Abstract

Counting skills are useful in everyday life and are important for students with mild intellectual disabilities to support their independence. This study aims to prove the effect of applying number tree media to improve counting skills for students with mild intellectual disabilities. One of the media that can be used to improve the counting skills of students with mild intellectual disabilities is number tree media, number tree media was chosen because it is concrete, interesting, and in accordance with the learning characteristics of students with mild intellectual disabilities. The approach in this study is quantitative, pre-experimental type, with a one group pretest-posttest design, the instruments in this study are teaching modules, research instrument grids, pretest and posttest sheets. The research subjects were 6 students with mild intellectual disabilities, the data collection techniques used in this study were written tests and data analysis techniques using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was an effect of applying number tree media on the counting ability of students with mild intellectual disabilities based on the results of asymp. Sig (0.024) <0.05. According to these results, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of number tree media on the counting ability of students with mild intellectual disabilities.
