Abstract

Abstract : Deaf Children are who loss either partially or wholly of hearing cause of their hearing doesn’t have a functional value in a daily life, so that deaf children need a special guidance or services to help communicate with the surrounding environment, specially on verbal communication. But in general, deaf children’s intelligence are same as a normal child, but functionally their progress influenced by the level of language, limitation of information, and potency of their abstraction, so their progress of functional intelligence become hampered. One of the difficulties faced by deaf children on academic ability is the ability to know the solid figure. The ability to recognize solid figure is the ability to know that solid figure is a part of space bounded by a set of points, which are on the whole surface of the wake that has content or volume . Researchers use computer media to help deaf children get to know the solid figure for more attractive, so that children are not saturated. In this study using the "Classroom Action Research", by using Class Action Research S.Emmbut (Kemmis and Targart ) design, techniques are carried out in the action research data collection consists of : (1) The test method, used to determine the child’s first ability before do next action, (2) Documentation method, used to amplify the results of research performed. For analysis research data use descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. From the analysis result of the study showed that there was an increase in the ability to know solid figure through computer media for deaf children at Tempurejo 04 inclusions elementary school 1st class academic year 2012/2013
