Pengaruh Metode Glenn Doman Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Peserta Didik Tunagrahita Sedang

Membaca permulaan bermanfaat untuk menumbuhkan minat baca, meningkatkan kemampuan bepikir dan menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh metode Glenn Doman terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik tunagrahita sedang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis penelitian eksperimen bentuk Single Subject Research (SSR) menggunakan desain A-B. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes membaca serta dianalisis menggunakan analisis visual dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Glenn Doman berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik tunagrahita sedang. Berdasarkan presentase data overlape dari fase baseline (A) dan fase intervensi (B) diperoleh sebesar 0%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Glenn Doman berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik tunagrahita sedang. Implikasi dari penelitian ini membantu guru untuk memberikan pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan bagi peserta didik tunagrahita sedang.

Abstract
Reading is useful for fostering an interest in reading, improving thinking skills and fostering confidence in students. This study aims to prove the influence of Glenn Doman's method on the initial reading ability of moderately disabled students. This research apply a quantitative approach, a type of experimental research in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) using an A-B design. Data were collected through observation and reading tests and analyzed using visual analysis under and between conditions. The results of the study showed that the application of the Glenn Doman method had an effect on the initial reading ability of students with moderate intellectual disability. Based on the percentage of overlap data from the baseline phase (A) and the intervention phase (B) was obtained at 0%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Glenn Doman method has an effect on the initial reading ability of students with moderate intellectual disability. The implications of the study help teachers to provide interesting and fun learning for students with moderate intellectual disability.
