Penguasaan kosakata merupakan kemampuan dasar yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa inggris. Anak disleksia kerap mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenali simbol huruf, mengingat kosakata, serta memahami keterkaitan antara bunyi dan tulisan, sehingga memerlukan dukungan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa flashcard, dalam bentuk cetak maupun digital, untuk mendukung penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris anak disleksia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang dibatasi pada tiga tahap, yaitu Analysis, Design, dan Development. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui validasi ahli materi, ahli media, dan praktisi dengan instrumen angket, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media flashcard memperoleh rata-rata persentase kelayakan sebesar 90,41% yang dikategorikan “sangat layak” berdasarkan aspek kegunaan, kelayakan, ketepatan, dan kepatutan. Dengan demikian, media flashcard yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak digunakan untuk mendukung penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris anak disleksia pada tema aktivitas sebelum dan sesudah tidur.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is a fundamental skill that plays a crucial role in English language learning. Students with dyslexia often face difficulties in recognizing letter symbols, retaining vocabulary, and understanding the relationship between sounds and written forms. Therefore, they require learning media that are adaptive and aligned with their specific needs and characteristics. This study aims to develop flashcard learning media, in both printed and digital formats, to support English vocabulary mastery for students with dyslexia. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, limited to three stages: Analysis, Design, and Development. Data were collected through validation by material experts, media experts, and practitioners using questionnaires, and analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The validation results showed that the flashcard media obtained an average feasibility score of 90,41%, categorized as “highly feasible” in terms of usefulness, appropriateness, accuracy, and suitability. Thus, the developed flashcard media is deemed feasible for supporting English vocabulary mastery among students with dyslexia, particularly on the theme of activities before and after sleeping.
