Abstract

Abstract; mild mental retarded children get difficulties in their academic, especially in mathematic. Those are additional and subtraction of currency including the selling and buying in shopping. Based on the researcher’s observation at Cindekia Kabuh school for children with special needs of fourth grade Jombang, there are 6 students in the fourth grade. There are many factors affecting it. One of them is the learning process. This research aims to apply the currency buying and selling game.this game is expected to make the students be able to count the currency addition and subtraction process in solving the shopping problem.
This research is pre experiment research by using one group pre test pos test design. The data collecting technique used is test. The data collecting techniques used non parametric statistics, wilcoxon matchpar test
It is used to find if there is an effect of currency buying and selling games for the improvement of mathematics study research. Based on the pre test and post test by using. Wilcoxon match pairs test, Z score is 2,20. It is bigger than Z table in the critical score of 5%, 1,96. Therefore,Ho and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of the research is there is significant effect of currency buying and selling game for the mathematics study result of children with special needat fourth grade of Cindekia kabuh School for children with special needs Jombang.
