MODEL PEMBELAJARAN LANGSUNG TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BINA DIRI DALAM MENCUCI TANGAN ANAK CEREBRAL PALSY

Abstract

Abstract: A self care is a way to build a person self as an individual or social being who can manage ourselves, help ourselves, take care ourselves to achieve the independency in the daily life. The scope of the self development consist of: the clean of self, eating, drinking, make up, dress up, self safety, communication, and socialization. Washing hands is one of the activities in keeping self cleaness. If there is a constraint or difficulty in washing the hands, it can disturb the self development of children with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is miss movement and body gesture because of the unprogressive defect in the brain, therefore the learning model which can optimize the ability to wash the hands of children with cerebral palsy is needed. That is direct instruction model. This research aims to analyze the ability before and after being given the treatment with direct learning model toward self care ability in washing hands to cerebral palsy children in the IV class of SDLB-D1 YPAC Surabaya. This research was done to 6 cerebral palsy children in the fourth class of SDLB-D1 YPAC Surabaya who only had spastic on one / both of the legs. The design was pre experiment with form “one group pre test post tes design”. The data analysis of this research was non parametric data with sign test.The research result indicated that Zh value (2,05) was far from Ztabel value (1,64) so that it could be concluded to refuse Ho and accept Ha. Based on the value it could be taken conclusion that “There was influence of direct learning model toward self care ability in washing hands to the fourth class of cerebral palsy children in SDLB – D1 YPAC Surabaya”.
