METODE HEARING EXECUTE BERBASIS SENSORI INTEGRASI TERHADAP BAHASA RESEPTIF ANAK AUTIS

Abstract:

Children with autism has constrains in their language development. Based on the observation at SDN Karang Pilang 1 Surabaya on 2 December 2013, children get difficulties in understanding the instruction to take put, take, hold the things, and hold the picture. One of the factor causes the children with autism get  difficulties in understanding this informative response is because they do not understand the language. Of the cause of their inability in understanding the language is because they get the dysfunction of sensory integration, wich is the inability to process the received information thourgh senses.

This research aim to analyze the effect of hearing execute method based on the integration of sensory  receptive language of the children with autism at SDN Karang Pilang 1 Surabaya. The design used is single subject research. The subject of the research is a child with autism at SDN Karang Pilang 1 Surabaya. The data collecting techniques are observation and documentation

The result shows that in the baseline phase, the frequency of the child with autism to understand is around 2-3, but when he/she has been given sensory integration approach by training the subject's understading toward the instruction by using the senses roles (hering, sight, and touch), his/her ability to understand the instruction is increased. It becomes 25-23. Based on the visual analysis in condition, it show the good change in each condition and the intra condition visual analysis shows relation between conditions. It can be coulded that (1) the effect of listen and do it sensory integration approach affects significantly the receptive language skill of the child with autism (2) before the use of method listen and do it of sensory integration approach, the child with autism understand the instruction around 2-3, (3) After getting the method listen and do it of sensory integration approach, the ability to understand the instruction of the child with autism is around 25-23.
