METODE APPLIED BEHAVIOUR ANALYSIS (ABA) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENYIMAK PERINTAH LISAN ANAK AUTIS

Abstract

Abstract: Listening is the skill of children ti listen to the spoken message and understands the spoken meaning which is delivered by other people. Listening skill is difficult enough to master, but is must be mastered by the children because the listening skill plays the largest role in the children’s communicative skill. It also happens in the children’s with autism. Abstract concepts need to be given by using an appropriate method to make the students accepting the learning process easily. Based on the problem and the importance of solving that problem, the research is conducted to analyzed the effect of using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for the listening for instruction skill of the children with autism at Terapi Mandiri Sidoarjo. The intervention is conducted in 9 meetings. Each meeting need 60 minutes, the research design used in one group pre test post test design. There are 6 children become the research subjects. The data analysis technique is non parametric statistic by using sign test. The result of the research show that Zh is 2,05. It is higher than Z table, 1,64. Therefore H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on that scores, the conclusion is “there is significant effect of Applied Behavior Analysis method (ABA) for the listening for the instruction skill of the children with autism at Terapi Mandiri Sidoarjo”.
