TARI JARANAN MODIFIKASI BERMEDIA VCD TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MOTORIK KASAR ANAK TUNAGRAHITA RINGAN

Abstract

Abstract; Ability Motor skill is a ability do movement which involves all of the body parts. Hard motor skill is difficult to do in the daily activities by mild mental retarded children who have enough complex problems. Modified Jaranan" dance by using VCD is a tool to help the movement in the form of VCD. It has Modified Varanan" dance which is appropriate with mild mental retarded children to do hard motor skill well. This research aims to find if there is an effect of Modified Varanan" dance by using VCD for mild mental retarded children's motor skill at Sasanti Wiyata School for special needs children B-C Surabaya.

This research uses the design through test before they are given the treatment 01. Therefore it can be compared between OI and O2 to find the effectiveness of the X treatment. The subject of this research are 6 mild mental retarded children at the first grade of Sasanti Wiyata School for special need children Surabaya. They are give pre test and post test. Post test is given after the subject were given treatment in the form of Modified Jaranan" dance by using VCD. It is given in 10 meetings.

Based on the research result and data analysis, the average score of the pre test is 48 and the average score of post test is 64. Based on the pre test and post test, Zh is 2.05. Therefore, it uses non parametric technique, sign test, by using critical score of 5%. The conclusion is Ho is rejected and Zh > 1.96. It means that Ha is accepted. Ha states that there is an effect of Modified Varanan" dance by using VCD for mild mental retarded children hard motor skill at Sasanti Wiyata School for special needs children B-C Surabaya.
