Self confidence is an individual positive attitude which help them to feel that they are able to do something to develop their positive attitude, either to themselves or environment based on the situation faced. Related to the learning process, self confidence is one of factors which can affect learning process.
This research aims to find if there is a correlation between hearing impairment students’ self confidence and study result at fifth grade of Karya Mulia II primary school for special needs children B Surabaya. This research is a quantitative approach by using non experiment research. This research uses correlation research and 10 students as subjects. The data collecting method used are interview and documentation. The non parametric statistic by using Spearman Rank formula is using to analyze the data.
Based on the result got by the correlation coefficient ( ) is 0,84 from the 10 (N) research subject. Based on the significant level of 5% for N= 10, the score for table rho is 0,648. Based on the counting process, rho count is bigger than rho table (0,84>0,648). Based on this description, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between hearing impairment students’ self confidence and study result at fifth grade of Karya Mulia II primary school for special needs children B Surabaya.
