Abstract
Mild mental retardation children was a child who had the intellectual ability below average. These deficiencies caused mild mental retardation children obtains cognitive obstacle was the obtained ability to recognize of part the body. The ability to recognize of part the body mild mental retardation children in SDLB Siwi Mulia Madiun was low. They were less to show the part of the body and mention of names include the eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, hands, and foot. With contextual learning expected given the ability to recognize part of body mild mental retardation children better than ever.
In general, the purpose of research was to prove the influence of contextual learning to recognize of part the body ability children with mild mental retardation in SDLB Siwi Mulia Madiun. This research used “pre-experiment” research with the design “one group pretest posttest”. Methods of data collection using the test methods and techniques of data analysis using nonparametric statistical analysis to test the formula sign (sign test).
Results of pre-test score average child was 43,51 and then given the treatment during twelve times. Furthermore, children were given post-test with an average score was 76,81. The average value of pre-test and post-test showed that there was a change for the value of children become better and the level of ability of a children to recognize the part of the body increased. Based these values, the formula was then analyzed using the sign test (sign test) ZH with Ztabel 5% two-sided test of 1.96. ZH values were obtain in a matter ZH = 2.26 > 1.96 Ztabel 5%. It was proved that the HO was rejected and Ha accepted so it can be concluded that there was significant influence of contextual learning on the ability to recognize part of body children with mild mental retardation first grade at SDLB Siwi Mulia Madiun.
