TEKNIK DOODLING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PERMULAAN ANAK AUTIS

This research was based on the hindrance to autism children in beginning writing skill so that they required an exact treatment and suitable with the autism children’s needs, in learning-teaching process the teacher should have learning strategy so that the students was study effectively and efficiently to the learning purpose hoped. One of the ways to have strategy was the teacher had to master learning techniques. This research used doodling technique. This doodling technique was in the form of free scratching activity, this technique was very good to train the children’s fine motoric, especially beginning writing skill of autism children. Based on the initial observation result autism children got disorder in beginning writing skill which consisted of several aspects i.e. holding stationary correctly, body position in writing, the eyes distance to the paper as writing, tracing line and capital.
This research had purpose to prove the influence of doodling technique toward beginning writing skill to autism children. This research used quantitative approach with pre experiment one group pre test and post test. The subjects of autism children research numbered 6 children who were 6-8 years old studying in the education and development of special need children Esya Sidoarjo. The data collection method used behavior test and data analysis technique used statistic non parametric with sign test.The result obtained was Z counted (Zh) = 2,05 and was compared with sign test value of one side 1,96 so that Zh > Z table i.e. 2,05 > 1,96 it was said that Ho was refused and Ha was accepte which meant there was influence of doodling technique toward beginning writing skill to autism children in the education and development of special need children Esya Sidoarjo.
