QUANTUM TEACHING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENGENALKONSEP BILANGAN SISWA TUNAGRAHITA RINGAN

Abstract
Mild mentally reterdation children had hindrance in cognitive development which prevented academic ability,
including mathematic skill i.e recognizing number concept. The hindrance recognizing number concept to mild mentally
retardation children referred to the limitedness ability mentioning number, ordering number and writing number. One
of the efforts to enhance recognizing number concept ability to mild mentally retardation children was using quantum
teaching.
This research had purpose to prove the influenceof quantum teaching toward recognizing number concept
ability to mild mentally retardation students in SLB-AC Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. This research used quantitative
approach with pre experimental and one group pere test and post test design. The subjek was the fifth class of mil
mentally retardation children in SLB-AC Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo 6 student. The data collection used test to know the
ability result before and after doing treatment.
The research result indicated there was score enhancement of recognizing number concept ability in pre test it
was 59,77 becoming 79,95 in pos test. Z table 5% in two sides test was 1,96. Zh value obtained was 2,05 so that null
hypothesis was refused and work hypothesis was accepted. Based on the explanation it could be concluded that there
was significant influence of using quantum teaching toward recognizing number concept ability to mild mentally
retardation students in SLB-AC Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.
