Abstract

ABSTRACT
The science learning result was an ability which the children got after doing learning science activity. The
science learning purpose in the school was to make the children study to understand themselves and environment
better. Many autism children had low result in science learning in the school because of the application of conventional
method and was adjusted to the children’s characteristic. One the methods applied is edutainment method with video
media, which is the method of learning into a fun design that combines elements of learning to playing which there are
games, video, music, and humor as inserts in accordance with learning styles 6 autism children class 4 in SDNP
Surabaya, which visual learner and hands on learner.
The purpose of this research was to prove the influence of edutainment method with video media toward science
learning result to autism children in special class of SDNP Surabaya. This research used quantitative approach of pre
experiment with the one group pre test post test design. The subject was autism children in SDNP Surabaya, 6 children.
The data collection technique used test and documentation methods and was analyzed by sign test formula.
Pre test and post test score which was then analyzed by sign test formula it was obtained Z counted score 2,05
while Z table score in 5% significant was 1,96 (2,05 > 1,96) so it was decided to refuse Ho. Based on the explanation
above it could be concluded “there was significant influence of edutainment media with video media toward science
learning result in SDNP Surabaya”.
