Abstract

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to describe the social skill of hearing impairment children in SLB Marsudi
Utomo Kesamben Blitar. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data collection methods
used were observation, interview, and document methods while the data analysis of qualitative descriptive research used
the step of data reduction, data presentation, and making decision.
The research result about social skill of hearing impairment student in SLB Marsudi Utomo Kesamben
convered social skill aspects i.e Interpersonal behavior aspect. (1) Receiving authority, the children could have put
themselves in friendship. (2) Happy helping others, it meant, the children had had attention toward friends. (3)
Beginning the convertation with other people, the children had opened themselves to other people. (4) Behaving
positively toward friends, in daily the children had indicated positive attitude to other , beginning greeting to other
people while to self-related behavior aspect. 1) It could express feeling, the children could express their feeling well. 2)
The children should behaved positive toward themselves the children could understand self condition. 3) Keeping and
maintaining the physic condition the children had awareness to take care of themselves. 4) Realizing and receiving the
consequence of their own action, the children had had responsible toward the duty. It was sitable with the indicator of
social skill.
The conclusion of social skill of hearing impairment student in SLB Marsudi Utomo Kesamben had run well
because the indicator of social skill from two aspects of the social skill i.e. Interpersonal behavior and self-related
behavior waas filed in developing social skill of hearing impairment student in SLB Marsudi Utomo Kesamben
