MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATERI PECAHAN SEDERHANA MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA KERTAS LIPATPADA SISWA KELAS III SDN NGINDEN JANGKUNGAN I / 247 SURABAYA

Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah aktivitas pasif yang ditunjukkan siswa, yang  mengakibatkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, sehingga diperlukan strategi pembelajaran baru yaitu menggunakan media konkret berupa kertas lipat karena dipandang sesuai untuk mata pelajaran matematika dalam menanamkan konsep bilangan pecahan sederhana, karena jika dilihat dari bentuknya yang yang geometris, dapat memudahkan siswa untuk memanipulasinya. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III SDN Nginden Jangkungan I/247 Surabaya sebanyak 39 siswa. Penelitian yang menggunakan rancangan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan presentase aktivitas guru pada siklus I sebesar 65 % dan 87,5% pada siklus II. Sedangkan presentase aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 60% dan 90% pada siklus II. Untuk  pengamatan hasil belajar siswa, juga terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 67,03 pada siklus I dan 80 pada siklus II. Hasil yang telah diperoleh pada Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media konkret berupa kertas lipat dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru, siswa dan juga hasil belajar siswa pada siswa Kelas III di SDN Nginden Jangkungan I/247 Surabaya.

Abstract: The background of this research is a passive activity that indicated the students because of that the result of student learning outcomes is low, thus requiring a new learning strategy that is used paper folding media because it can viewed from its shape, the geometric shapes of colored paper, can facilitate students to manipulate. Subjects were third class of SDN Nginden Jangkungan I/247 Surabaya is about 39 students. This research uses classroom action research design that consisted of two cycles. Percentage of teacher activity at the first cycle is 65% and 87,5% in the second cycle. While the percentage of student activities at the first cycle is 60% and 90% for the second cycle. For student learning outcomes, there is also increasing with the average score of 67,03 for the first cycle and 80 for the second cycle. This research indicated that folding paper as concrete media is work to increase the student’s outcome for mathematics for third class of SDN Nginden Jangkungan I No. 247 Surabaya.
