PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD UNTUK PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak: Berdasarkan hasil observasi di kelas IV SDN Kertajaya Surabaya menunjukkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran banyak siswa yang kurang memperhatikan penjelasan guru dan sulit dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan sehingga hasil belajarnya masih dibahwa KKM, maka perlu adanya pemecahan masalah yaitu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, serta hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Kertajaya Surabaya dengan jumlah 43 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mendapatkan data melalui instrumen lembar observasi guru dan siswa, tes evaluasi, serta angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembalajaran kooperatif  tipe STAD dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa dan dan hasil belajar siswa dalam setiap siklusnya. Aktivitas guru pada siklus I 65,83%, siklus II 84% dan siklus III sebesar 90,75% untuk aktivitas siswa pada siklus I 58,25%, siklus II 83,66% dan siklus III diperoleh 89, 41% dan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I 69,76%, siklus II 83,72% dan siklus III 93,02%. Rata-rata hasil belajar meningkat dari 69,75% menjadi 93,02% dengan respon siswa yang meningkat dari 93% menjadi 95%. Sehingga penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan aktifitas guru, siswa dan hasil belajar siswa serta respon siswa yang sangat baik dalam pembelajaran IPS pada pokok bahasan  mengenal perkembangan teknologi, produksi, komunikasi, dan transportasi serta pengalaman menggunakannya.

Abstract: The observations on fourth grade students of SDN Kertajaya indicates that the students are paying less attention to the teacher's explanation and it causes difficulties in understanding the material presented, therefore, the learning outcomes still under the achievement standard.  Thus, it is necessary to use STAD cooperative learning model as the problem solving. The purpose of this research is to improve teacher’s activity, student activity, motivation and learning outcomes of students before and after implementing STAD cooperative learning model. This research is held through classroom activity which was done by collaborating classroom teachers and researcher. The subject of this study are fourth grade students of SDN Kertajaya Surabaya by the number of students as many as 43 students. This study use qualitative and quantitative data analisis technique to get the data through the teacher and students observation sheet instrument, learning test, and questionnaires. The result showed that the implementation of cooperative learning model of the type STAD in social subject can increase teacher and students activities and student learning outcomes in each cycle. Teacher activities at the first cycle is about 65,83%, the second cycle is about 84 % and the third cycle is about 90,75%, students activities at the first cycle is about 58,25%, the second cycle is about 83,66%, and the third cycle are obtained 89,41%, and learning outcomes at the first cycle is about 69,76%, the second cycle is about 83,72%, and the third cycle is about 93,02%. Average learning outcomes increased from 69,76% to 93,02% while students responses increased from 93% to 95%. So, the implementation of cooperative learning model of the type of STAD can increase the activity of the teacher, students activities and students learning outcomes, as well as an excellent student responses in the social subject of the events knowing technology development, production, communication and transportation as well as experience using it.
