PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS

Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS siswa kelas V SDN Hendrosari Menganti Gresik. Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dikarenanakan kurangnya minat dan motivasi siswa dalam menerima pelajaran IPS yang disampaikan guru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT, dan mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT. Pengamatan pada pelaksanaan penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas guru pada siklus I 86,25%, dan pada siklus II sebesar 92,50%, aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 84,03% menjadi 91,66% pada siklus II. Pada hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 70% dan pada siklus II mencapai 90% siswa tuntas belajar. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract: Through the beginning research, the students’ scores of social studies in fifth grade SDN Hendrosari Menganti Gresik were low. I have done research to know why the student got unsatisfied result in social studies. It was caused their interest and their motivation was low. The aim of it for describing teacher’s activity and student’s activity during learning process of social studies by cooperative learning TGT type, and increasing student’s score after applying it. Observations on the conduct of the study showed an increase in the average activity of teachers in the first cycle 86,25%, and the second cycle was 92,50%, the activity of students has increased from the first cycle of 84,03% to 91,66% in the second cycle. of the results of this study concluded that the application of cooperative learning TGT type to greater learning activities and student learning result.
