PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TWO STAY TWO STRAY PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV A SDN SIMOMULYO 8 SURABAYA

Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian ini berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan peneliti di kelas IV A SDN Simomulyo 8 Surabaya, yakni kurangnya aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran dan kurangnya wawasan guru tentang cara memilih dan menerapkan model dalam suatu pembelajaran. Hal tersebut menjadikan proses pembelajaran kurang optimal serta belum tercapainya hasil belajar siswa yang sesuai dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, maka perlu dilakukan upaya untuk memecahkannya. Alternatif pemecahan masalah tersebut yaitu menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray. Pemilihan model ini sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran IPS dirasa tepat karena model ini memiliki keunggulan antara lain mengembangkan sikap dalam diri siswa, bertambahnya kekompakkan dan rasa percaya diri, meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dan mengemukakan pendapat, serta proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna sehingga hasil belajar dapat meningkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru kelas IV A SDN Simomulyo 8 Surabaya sebanyak 24 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, lembar non tes dan lembar angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Peningkatan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa dan respon siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran merupakan hasil yang didapat dari proses pembelajaran ini. Peningkatan tersebut terjadi secara bertahap mulai dari siklus I sampai dengan siklus III dengan kriteria yang sangat baik. Walaupun ditemui beberapa kendala dalam proses pembelajaran namun dengan cermat peneliti mampu memilih upaya untuk perbaikan pada siklus berikutnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model kooperatif tipe two stay two stray dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa, hasil belajar dan respon siswa kelas IV A SDN Simomulyo 8 Surabaya.

Abstract: The background of this research is based on the observation that happened in class IV A SDN Simomulyo 8 Surabaya, the less activity of student in learning and . teachers' lack of knowledge about how to choose and apply the learning model. it made the process of learning to be less than optimal, and yet the achievement of student learning outcomes in accordance with the minimum completeness criteria. Based on the above problems, it was necessary to solve the problem-solving efforts. Based upon the above problems, it is necessary an effort to solve it. alternative solutions to this problem is to apply cooperative learning model two stay two stray. This model selection as an alternative in the development of social studies learning is appropriate because this model has the advantage, among others, to develop an attitude in students, increased compactness and self-confidence, improve the ability to speak and express their opinions, as well as the learning process becomes more meaningful study results can be improved. This study used classroom action research. The subjects were students and teachers grade IV A SDN Simomulyo 8, an elementary school in Surabaya as many as 24 students. Instrument used in this study was the observation sheets, study result sheets and sheets of non-test questionnaire. Analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Increased teacher activity, student activity, student value of learning and students' response to the learning process is the result obtained from the learning process. This increase occurred in stages starting from the first cycle to cycle III with criteria very well.. Although some obstacles encountered in the learning process, but the researchers were able to carefully choose an effort to repair the next cycle. Based on these results it can be concluded that the cooperative model of learning by applying two stay two stray type can increase the activity of teachers and students, learning outcomes and student response class IV A SDN Simomulyo 8 Surabaya.
