PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GAMBAR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak : Rancangan penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) berdasarkan permasalahan yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil pengamatan pada pelaksanaan penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas guru pada siklus I 88,60%, dan pada siklus II sebesar 94,78%. Hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 61,25% dan pada siklus II sebesar 90,00%. Sementara hasil balajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan ditunjukkan hasil rata-rata penilaian aspek kognitif siswa pada siklus I sebesar 57%, dan pada siklus II sebesar 90%. Hasil respon siswa mendapatkan respon  sebesar 61,06% pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 97% pada siklus II. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas V SDN Gedangan 1 khususnya pada pembelajaran IPS dengan materi mengidentifikasi tokoh-tokoh sejarah pada masa kerajaan Islam.

Abstract : This research used Classroom Action Research based on the problems aroused during the teaching learning process. The results of observation on this research showed there was an improvement of the teacher’s activity rate on the first cycle 88.60% and on the second cycle 94.78%. The results of students’ activity observation showed there was also an improvement from the first cycle 61.25% becoming 90.00% on the second cycle. Moreover, the students’ results of learning also improved that was showed by the improvement of their grade in cognitive aspect from 57% on the first cycle becoming 90% on the second cycle. Furthermore, the results of students’ responses had an improvement as well from 61.06% becoming 97% on the second cycle. From those results, it can be concluded that using pictures as media can improve the activity of teaching learning process of Social subject and the students’ result of learning for the fifth grade students of SDN Gedongan 1 especially in Social subject focusing on the identification of historical figures at Islamic Kingdom Period.
