PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GAMBAR SERI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS CERITA SISWA KELAS V SDK YOHANNES GABRIEL SURABAYA

Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam  pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia  para siswa dituntut untuk dapat menguasai salah satu  ketrampilan bahasa yang produktif yaitu menulis, permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yaitu rendahnya minat siswa dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan guru. Hal ini diakibatkan kurangnya guru memanfaatka media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Menulis yang dimaksud pada penelitian ini adalah menulis cerita yang merupakan salah satu materi yang diajarkan di kelas V sekolah dasar, adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa kelas V SDK Yohannes Gabriel Surabaya dan guru dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran gambar seri. Melalui dua siklus penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, maka diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: untuk aktivitas guru pada siklus I pertemuan I adalah 77,78% dan pertemuan II 81,48% dari Sembilan aspek yang diamati. Untuk aktivitas siswa pada siklus I pertemuan I adalah 66,66% dan pertemuan II 76,66%, sedangkan siklus II pertemuan I untuk aktivitas guru adalah 81,48% dan pertemuan II 92,59% dari Sembilan aspek yang diamati. Untuk aktivitas siswa pada siklus II pertemuan I adalah 76,66% dan pertemuan II 88,89% . Dari hasil yang diperoleh tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas V SDK Yohannes Gabriel Surabaya dapat menulis cerita dengan baik melalui penggunaan media gambar seri, hal ini terbukti  dengan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa.

Abstract: In learning Indonesian, students are required to be able to master one of the productive language skills such as writing.The problem that is commonly faced in the teaching and learning process is the students low interest in mastering the material given by the teacher. It is coused by the lack of media that is used to help the students mastering the material. Series picture is one of the media that can be used to give an ease to the students to improve their ability in writing a composition. Writing in this research means writing story. It is one of the materials taught in 5^th grade, elementary school. The purpose of the research is to find out the activity of the students and the teacher in learning in writing stories by using image series as the media and the students achievement in writing a story by using image series. From two period of research, here is the result that is got: for the teacher’s activity in the first period the first meeting is 77,78% and the second meeting is 81,48% from the nine aspects observed. For the students activity, in the first period is 66,66% and the second is 76,66% while in the second period the first meeting for the teacher activity is 81,48% and the second meeting is 92,59% from the nine aspects observed. For the students activity in the second period first meeting is 76,66% and the second meeting is 88,89%. From the result above, it can be concluded thet the 5^th grade students of Yohannes Gabriel Elementary SchoolSurabaya can write a story well through image series. It is proved by the improvement of the teachers’ and students’ activity during the teaching and learning process for each period..
