PENGARUH REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATERI BANGUN DATAR DI KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pendekatan pembelajaran tipe Realistic Mathematics Education terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi bangun datar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Kedamean Gresik. Adapun sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah masing-masing kelas 23 siswa. Nilai rata-rata pada posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 77,17 dan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 85,2 .Hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis yang menggunakan uji t atau t-test diperoleh hasil perbandingan diperoleh thitung > t tabel (2,332 > 1,684) dengan taraf signifikansi 5% maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak yang artinya ada pengaruh pendekatan pembelajaran tipe Realistic Mathematics Education terhadap pemahaman konsep materi bangun datar yang dilihat dari nilai pretest dan posttest pada kelas IV di SD negeri 2 Kedamean Gresik.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of Realistic Mathematics Education type learning approach towards the plane’s concept comprehension. It uses quantitative type to process experimental approach. The objects of this study are IV grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedamean Gresik. Meanwhile research samples in this study are 23 students of IV A class as experiment class and 23 students of IV B as control class. The average value of posttest’s result in control class is 77,17, while experiment class’ is 85,21. The calculating result of hypothesis test which uses t-test, it is found out that the difference result t count> t table (2,332> 1,684) with significant level 5% and concluded that received Ha and rejected Ho meaning that there are influence of Realistic Mathematics Education type learning approach towards the plane’s concept comprehension viewed from pretest and posttest’s value in IV grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedamean Gresik.
