Berbicara bahasa Jawa krama lugu dan krama alus merupalan salah satu kegiatan yang saat ini kurang diminati oleh siswa sekolah dasar. Siswa kurang termotivasi terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Jawa sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa dalam berbicara bahasa Jawa krama lugu dan krama alus rendah. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media gambar seri dalam pembelajaran berbicara bahasa Jawa krama lugu dan krama alus siswa kelas V MI Al- Khoiriyah 1 Dalegan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi langsung, teknik tes, dan pengisian kuisioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa kelas V MI Al-Khoiriyah 1 Dalegan mampu menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan oleh guru dengan efisiensi waktu yang baik dan mengalami peningkatan dalam berbicara bahasa Jawa krama lugu dan krama alus dari rata-rata awal sebelum menggunakan media gambar seri adalah 75 menjadi 83 setelah menggunakan media gambar seri. Siswa pun lebih termotivasi mengikuti pembelajaran yang ditunjukkan berdasarkan respon positif pada hasil pengisisan kuisioner. Berdasarkan hasil data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar seri efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa jawa krama lugu dan krama alus siswa kelas V MI Al-Khoiriyah 1 Dalegan.

Abstract

Recently, speaking Javanese by using krama alus and krama lugu (as two different types of javanese language) is being unpopular among primary school students. They have facing lack of motivation during the process of learning Javanese and showed a low score in term of using karma alus and karma lugu. Therefore, the aim of this research was to find out the effectiveness of using series of pictures as a media in the teaching and learning of krama alus and krama lugu within the Javanese course for students in grade 5 at Islamic Primary School Al-Khoiriyah 1 Dalegan. This research used qualitative methodology. The techniques for collecting the data were direct observation, testing, questionnaire and documentation. The result of this research showed that students in the grade 5 at Islamic Primary School AlKhoiriyah 1 Dalegan was be able to complete their assignment that given by teacher with a good time efficiency. The result also indicated an improvement within the use of krama alus and krama lugu. It was proved by the score that pointed out the number of 75 before using the series of picture. Thus, after using the series of picture the number showed an improvement into 83. The result of questionnaire also showed a positive response as the impact toward students’ motivation in the learning Javanese. They became to be more motivated to speak Javanese after using the series of picture in the classroom. Based on the result above it can be concluded that using series of picture is effective to enhance students speaking ability in term of Javanese course focusing on the implementation of krama alus and krama lugu in the grade 5 at Islamic Primary School Al-Khoiriyah 1 Dalegan.
