PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN “KARTU HURUF MULTISENSORI” DENGAN METODE ORTON-GILINGHAM UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN PESERTA DIDIK KELAS 1 SEKOLAH DASAR

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan media, menguji kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan efektifitas penggunaan media kartu huruf multisensori untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan kelas 1 SD. Penelitian pengembangan dilakukan menggunakan model pengembangan ASSURE dengan 6 tahapan yaitu: analisis pebelajar (Analyze Learners), penetapan tujuan (State Objectives), memilih metode, media, dan bahan (Select Methods, Media, and Materials), menggunakan media (Utilize Media and Materials), partisipasi peserta didik (Require Learner Participation), dan evaluasi dan revisi (Evaluate and Revise). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknis observasi, wawancara, tes, angket respon guru dan peserta didik. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan rumus persentase, uji t dan N-Gain. Terdapat 5 bagian kartu huruf multisensori yang dikembangkan, yaitu kartu huruf multisensori abjad a-z, huruf vokal,  konsonan dan konsonan gabung, diftong, serta suku kata. Hasil validasi dari ahli media dan ahli materi masing-masing mendapatkan persentase 91% dengan kriteria “sangat valid”. Hasil angket guru dan peserta didik masing-masing memperoleh persentase 86% dan 94% dengan kriteria “sangat praktis”. Hasil dari pretest dan posttest peserta didik diperoleh hasil t-hitung 15,91 dan t-tabel 2,26, sehingga harga t-hitung > t-tabel, artinya terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata yang signifikan dari penggunaan media kartu huruf multisensori dengan metode membaca Orton-Gilingham untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan kelas 1 SD Pelita Bangsa Surabaya.

Abstract

This development research aims to describe the process of media development, test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of using multisensory alphabet card media for learning to read at the beginning of grade 1 elementary school. Development research was carried out using the ASSURE development model with 6 stages, namely: Analyze Learners, State Objectives, Select Methods, Media, and Materials, Utilize Media and Materials, Require Learner Participation, and Evaluate and Revise. Data was collected by means of technical observations, interviews, tests, questionnaires for teacher and student responses. Data analysis was performed using the percentage formula, t test and N-Gain. There are 5 parts of the multisensory letter cards that were developed, namely the multisensory alphabet cards of the a-z alphabet, vowels, consonants and consonants combined, diphthongs, and syllables. The validation results from media experts and material experts each get a percentage of 91% with the "very valid" criteria. The results of the teacher and student questionnaires obtained a percentage of 86% and 94%, respectively, with the criteria of "very practical". The results of the students' pretest and posttest results obtained t-count 15.91 and t-table 2.26, so that the price of t-count > t-table, it means that there is a significant increase in the average value of the use of multisensory letter card media using the multisensory alphabet card media method. reading Orton-Gilingham for learning to read at the beginning of grade 1 SD Pelita Bangsa Surabaya.
