THE CARD MEDIA DEVELOPMENT FOR LEARNING CAPITAL LETTER WRITING SKILLS IN GRADE II OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Abstract
This research was motivated by the low ability of grade II students of UPT Negeri 231 Gresik in using capital letter writing rules. One of the causes is the lack of use of learning media that is in accordance with the characteristics of students. For this reason, this card media was developed through research with the aim of producing valid, practical, and effective card media in learning capital letter writing skills. Research method with Research and Development (R&D) and a Borg and Gall model. The results showed the validity of the material 95%, media 98%, and learning methods 92,5%. The practicality of media according to students is 100% and according to education94.29% and the implementation of learning is 91,67%. The effectiveness of media based on N-gain calculations showed an increase of 0.65147783. It is concluded that card media is suitable to be used as a medium for learning capital letter writing skills in grade II elementary schools.
