PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN ANIMASI BERBASIS PENDEKATAN OPEN-ENDED QUESTION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS IPS KELAS 5 SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Penelitian pengemangan ini dirancang dengan tujuan untuk: (1) Untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran animasi berbasis pendekatan open-ended question terhadap materi peristiwa kebangsaan masa penjajahan pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas V. (2) Untuk mengetahui keefektifan media animasi berbasis pendekatan open-ended question terhadap materi peristiwa penjajahan kebangsaan masa penjajahan. (3) Untuk mengetahui dampak dari pendekatan open-ended question dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Gayungan 1/422 Surabaya. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Borg adnd Gall, dari 10 tahapan menjadi 6 tahapan. Hasil penelitian ini berupa validasi dengan persentase 94,28% untuk materi, 70,76% pada media tahap 1 dan 87,69% pada media tahap 2 dengan kategori Sangat Valid dengan kategori layak digunakan. Persentase pada uji efektifitas N-Gain seesar 0,78 dengan kategori Tinggi. Serta persentase hasil angket respon siswa pada dampak penggunaan media sebesar 94, 81% dan angket respon guru dengan persentase hasil 90,00%. Dengan hasil tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan media animasi berbasis pendekatan open-ended question layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Research and development are designed for the purpose of: (1) To find out the feasibility of animation learning media based on the open-ended question approach to material on national events during the colonial period in social studies class V. (2) To find out the effectiveness of animation media based on the open-ended question approach on the material of the national colonial events during the colonial period. (3) To determine the impact of the open-ended question approach in social studies learning to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The test subjects in this study were fifth grade students at SDN Gayungan 1/422 Surabaya. The research model used is the Borg and Gall development model, from 10 stages to 6 stages. The results of this research are in the form of validation with a percentage of 94.28% for the material, 70.76% in the media stage 1 and 87.69% in the media stage 2 with the Very Valid category and the category is suitable for use. The percentage in the N-Gain effectiveness test was 0.78 in the High category. As well as the percentage of student response questionnaire results on the impact of media use by 94.81% and the teacher response questionnaire with a percentage of results of 90.00%. With these results, it can be concluded that animation media based on the open-ended question approach is feasible to use.
