PENGEMBANGAN E-BOOK CERITA BERGAMBAR PROSES TERJADINYA HUJAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS III SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Abstrak 

Pengembangan e-book cerita bergambar bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan peserta didik kelas III sekolah dasar. Akibat dari pandemi covid-19 membuat menurunnya tingkat motivasi belajar peserta didik, khususnya pada keterampilan membaca. Pemanfaatan teknologi dapat menunjang sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pembelajara, agar guru tidak hanya menggunakan buku cetak dalam proses pembelajaran dan dapat memanfaatkan e-book dengan gambar dan cerita yang lebih menarik. Jenis penelitian yang diambil yakni pengembangan (R&D) dengan model penelitian ADDIE yang terdapat lima tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yang terdiri dari lembar validasi untuk mengukur validitas media dan materi, hasil kevalidan media sebesar 93,75% dan kevalidan materi 96%. Respon guru dan peserta didik dalam penggunaan angket untuk mengetahui kepaktisan, dibuktikan dengan hasil respon guru sebesar 96% dan respon peserta didik sebesar 95% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Keefektifan media memenuhi kriteria sangat efektif berdasarkan hasil ketuntasan belajar peserta didik dinilai dari hasil pretest dan posttest dengan bantuan rumus N-gain senilai 0,73. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media e-book cerita bergambar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca kelas III sekolah dasar dinyatakan sangat valid, sangat praktis, dan sangat efektif.

Abstract

Development e-books Picture stories aim to improve the skills of third grade elementary school students. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the level of learning motivation of students has decreased, especially in reading skills. Utilization of technology can support as a tool in the learning process, so that teachers do not only use printed books in the learning process and can take advantage of e-books with more interesting pictures and stories. The type of research taken is development (R&D) with the ADDIE research model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection was carried out using research instruments consisting of validation sheets to measure the validity of the media and material, the results of which were 93.75% for media validity and 96% for material validity. The response of teachers and students in using questionnaires to find out practicality, is evidenced by the results of the teacher's response of 96% and the response of students by 95% with very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the media meets the very effective criteria based on the results of the learning completeness of students assessed from the results pretest and posttest with the help of a formula N-gain worth 0.73. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the development of e-book media with picture stories in improving reading skills in class III elementary schools was stated to be very valid, very practical, and very effective.
