Pengembangan Media KEMMEPEDIA (Kemerdekaan melalui Media Pembelajaran Inovatif dan Edukatif) pada Pembelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
This research was conducted based on two things, namely the obstacles and problems faced by teachers and students in social studies learning activities at SDN Penompo 2, Mojokerto Regency. This obstacle is related to the limited learning media that can be used in learning. This situation causes students to lack interest, feel bored, and have low motivation to learn. This research uses a type of development research with the aim of determining the validity, effectiveness and practicality of the KEMMEPEDIA media in the material on Efforts to Maintain Independence in class VI. The ADDIE model is used which includes five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The instruments to collect data used in this research, namely validation sheets for media and materials, student and teacher response questionnaires, as well as pretest-posttest questions. The data analysis techniques are quantitative and qualitative, qualitative data is obtained through suggestions, while quantitative data is obtained from media validation scores, materials, student and teacher response questionnaires, as well as pretest-posttest scores. This research involved 22 fifth grade students as research trial subjects. Based on the research results, it was found that the KEMMEPEDIA media were (1) media validation with a score of 86% in the "feasible" category for use with revisions, material validation with a score of 85% in the "decent" category, and validation of pretest-posttest questions of 74% with "decent" category, (2) student responses to KEMMEPEDIA media reached a final result of 99.7%, while the response from teachers was 95%, with the category "very interesting" to be applied in the learning process. Apart from that, the students' average pretest-posttest score using the N-gain calculation reached 0.77, and all students achieved classical completion of 100%. The results of the paired t-test also show a significance value of <0.05, which confirms that KEMMEPEDIA media is effective for application in learning social studies history material.
