PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BUKU CERITA BERGAMBAR BERBANTUAN APLIKASI CANVA UNTUK KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA DONGENG SISWA KELAS II SD

Abstract

The limited Indonesian language learning media that is in accordance with the characteristics of low-grade students in elementary schools is one of the reasons for conducting this research. The purpose of this research is to produce valid, effective and practical Canva Application-assisted Picture Storybook media. Research and development or what is called Research and Development (R&D) is the type used in this study. The ADDIE development model was used to develop Canva Application-assisted Picture Storybook media. There are five stages in the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The test subjects were carried out on a small scale and large scale. The small-scale trial was conducted on grade II students with a total of 10 randomly selected students. While the large-scale trial was applied to grade II students as many as 35 students consisting of 2 study groups, namely classes IIA and IIB. Material validation received a percentage of 100% and media validation received a percentage of 99% in the development of Canva Application-assisted Picture Storybook media so that it was included in the very valid category. The results of filling out the questionnaire sheet of 2 class teachers get an average percentage of practicality of 100% and the results of filling out the questionnaire sheet of 35 students get an average percentage of practicality of 99%. From filling out the sheet, both get an average percentage between 81% - 100% so that they are in the very practical category. Based on the pre-test and post-test data obtained by students, it is processed using the n-gain formula. The average n-gain of 35 students obtained was 0.74 so that it was in the high category (0.74> 0.7). From these results, it can be stated that Picture Storybooks Assisted by Canva Application are effectively used as learning media for fairy tale reading skills in grade II elementary schools.
